• To be a successful translator, you need to have a strong command of both the source language (the language you are translating from) and the target language (the language you are translating into). (दुवै अंग्रेजी र नेपाली भाषाको राम्रो प्रयोग गर्नुहोस् | अंग्रेजी चलचित्र, कार्याक्रमहरु हेर्ने बानि बसल्नुहोस | अंग्रेजीमा एक्लै भएपनि बोल्ने गर्नुहोस् | धेरै भन्दा धेरै अभ्यासहरु गर्नुहोस् | )
• Grasp the context of the source text. This includes understanding the cultural, historical, and social factors that may influence the text’s meaning. दिएको वाक्यले के भन्न खोजिरहेको छ त्यो पत्ता लगाउन खोज्नुहोस्
• Avoid translating text word-for-word, as this often results in awkward or inaccurate translations. Focus on conveying the meaning and intent of the source text. (शब्द-शब्दलाई एक एक गर्दै अनुवाद गर्दा अलिक मिल्दैन | यसो गर्दा अनुवादित वाक्य असान्दर्भिक हुन जान्छ ।)उदाहरणको लागि :
  I eat rice everyday
  शब्द-शब्द अनुवाद गर्दा:
  I – म
  eat – खान्छु
  rice – भात
  everyday – हरेक दिन
  Incorrect: म खान्छु भात हरेक दिन
  माथिको वाक्य असान्दर्भिक हुन् गयो त्यसैले जहिले पनि दिईएको शब्दको भाव बुझेर वाक्यले के अर्थाउन खोजेको छ त्यो कुरा सरल रुपमा आर्को भाषामा ढाल्न खोज्नु होला ।Correct: म हरेक दिन भात खान्छु ।
  • • Pay attention to idiomatic expressions, phrasal verbs, and cultural references, which may not have direct equivalents in the target language. उदाहरणको लागि:
      निपात प्रयोग भएका शब्दको सिधा अंग्रेजी अनुवाद मिल्दैन अथवा कम हुन्छ ।

  वाक्य : हामी त हिजो मेलामा गयौं नि ।
  अनुवाद: We went to the fair yesterday.

  त र नि झल्किने अंग्रेजी अनुवाद हुदैन
  Let us go to watch the cinema today.

  माथि  दिएको वाक्यको सन्दर्भमा (given context) ‘let us’ को अनुवाद निकाल्न अप्ठ्यरो हुन्छ |

  Translation: आज हामी सिनेमा हेर्न जाउँ ।

  OR: आउ आज हामी सिनेमा हेर्न जाउँ ।

  Sentence: Let us play.
  Translation: हामीलाई खेल्न देऊ ।
  Or आउ हामी खेलौँ
